God said ‘fear not’ or some version of ‘do not be afraid’ over 300 times in the bible and many people say there is a ‘do not fear’ command for every day of the year.
When it comes to money then, why people (some statistics say 88%) live with daily financial uncertainty, doubt and fear?
Even (especially) people with lots of wealth.
It’s simply not true that MORE MONEY will give you more financial SECURITY. It gives you more OPTIONS, but not more security. My experience is that more money predominantly means MORE uncertainty – NOT less. Although very few people i meet who feel they’re ‘doing ok’ financially would call their attitudes towards money uncertainty.
If more money doesn’t reduce financial uncertainty, what’s the answer then?
The first step is to recognize that just facing the idea of financial uncertainty itself will cause shame, pride, guilt, regret, and anxiety to rise up. It will cause you to look at your beliefs, your values, your effectiveness, attitudes, trust…and to make a judgement about how well you think you’re doing compared to something you have established as a BENCHMARK for success…
The antidote to fear is faith.
Faith in what?
- Your investments?
- Your advisor?
- Your pay cheque?
- Someone or something else?
The faith to face financial fear begins with recognizing personal values, beliefs, ideas, judgments, insecurities, biases, and your current situation. Because turning financial fear into financial faith isn’t:
- An investment or strategy – although that might help.
- More knowledge – although that will help.
- No debt, a new job, or getting professional help to make financial decisions – although that will help also.
The Faith for Finances 1000x More Bundle is a Holy Spirit Inspired and Holy Spirit Guided journey to look at ALL these issues – in your life, and so you can also help others do the same so God get’s all the praise and glory!
God says, “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20).
Will you ‘try’ it?
Will you share it with others?
